Published by latisha on

Microscopy and wet chemistry lab renovations are underway! A big thank you to facilities management for all of their hard work! Major equipment currently in the laboratory includes a Nikon LV100D POL polarizing petrographic microscope with long working distance objectives (2.5x, 5x, 10x, 20x, 50x, 100x) coupled to a Nikon digital imaging system. Near future acquisitions will include necessary equipment for mount and thin section sample preparation, carbonate and silicate digestions, and heavy mineral separation.
